Najran is one of the ancient and historically important cities of southern Arabia, located along major caravan and incense-trade routes connecting Yemen with northern and western Arabia. Its strategic position made it an important commercial, religious, and cultural center.
The term “Metropolis” or “Metropolous” has been historically associated with Najran.
